Vintage teas are the product Toka’s unique practice of aging high quality teas from the first spring harvest. Over time, the ripening process removes astringency and vegetal properties, resulting in a complex, rich, and surprisingly elegant flavor. At Toka, we consider a vintage tea one that has aged at least five years post harvest. The real pleasure of Toka’s vintage teas is a persistent flavor that comes through even with repeated steeping. Naturally the quantity of each vintage tea is limited.
