Notice of price adjustment

Thank you for your continued support of TOKA. This is to inform you about a price adjustment for this year’s new teas.

Due to increased procurement and raw material costs, we will adjust the prices of our new teas from the 2026 new tea season. In addition, the recent matcha boom has significantly changed the environment and economic conditions surrounding tea farmers. Although the production of carefully crafted Japanese green leaf teas has been steadily declining, at TOKA we remain committed to offering only the finest teas that are both healthy and delicious. We sincerely ask for your kind understanding.

Our tearoom offers just six seats within a traditional Japanese house over 100 years old. Located directly above one of Kyoto’s renowned natural water veins, we carefully prepare each cup using freshly drawn underground spring water from the property itself. From differences in origin and production methods to cultivar and harvest year, we continually explore how to bring out the fullest individuality of each tea. As the infusions unfold and the aromas gently evolve, we hope you will discover an entirely new encounter with Japanese tea. Please also enjoy our selection of organic cacao sweets, together with fresh wagashi delivered from Komatsuya, a confectionery shop in Teramachi.
