Collection: Shiboridashi Teapot
The shiboridashi's shallow, gently curved shape allows tea leaves to spread evenly. With no built-in strainer, it is easy to clean — making it an approachable choice for those new to Japanese tea utensils.
TOKA's tea utensils are crafted from Azumino or Bizen clay and fired for a week in an anagama kiln fueled by red pine wood. The resulting surfaces — shaped by the kiln's transformative heat — reveal natural landscapes born from the high-temperature encounter of clay and wood ash. Created by Mitsuo MORIOKA, TOKA's tea utensils are robust, drain water cleanly, and through the form of the shiboridashi, fully open the tea leaves and allow you to pour out every last drop.
