Collection: TAKACHIHO

“Takachiho” is a classic native tea cultivar from Miyazaki. Named after the town of Takachiho, it is a mid-season variety harvested at roughly the same time as Yabukita, but with stronger resistance to cold and disease, making it well suited to the cooler regions of Kyushu. Descendant cultivars bred from Takachiho include Unkai and Minamisayaka. Its appeal lies in its clean, refreshing taste and the distinct sweetness that lingers even after the tea cools. With a bright aroma and a well-balanced richness, this kamairicha pairs easily with meals.
